This beautiful eclectic building was erected in 1875. From 1883, it housed the Gurevich Gymnasium and Realschule. It was considered one of the best and most progressive private secondary schools in St. Petersburg. Graduates of the gymnasium included Prince F. Yusupov, composer I. Stravinsky, publisher S. Makovsky, and other famous figures of their time.
Station L1 is located near Moskovsky Train Station, Smolny Cathedral, and Tauride Garden.
